By using SportEd you agree to the terms below.
1. The service
SportEd is a marketplace. We introduce athletes to independent coaches, academies, clubs and sports professionals. We are not the employer of any coach and we do not deliver the training itself.
2. Accounts
You must give accurate information, keep your login secure, and be at least 18 — or have a parent or guardian register and supervise on your behalf.
3. Bookings & payments
Session prices are set by each coach. Payments are made through M-Pesa at the time of booking.SportEd retains a platform fee of 5% from each paid booking; the balance is settled to the coach. Coaches may also offer free sessions.
4. Cancellations & refunds
Cancel at least 24 hours before a session to request a refund. Sessions missed without notice are not refundable. Refund requests are handled at hello@sported.co.ke.
5. Coach obligations
Coaches must hold the qualifications they claim, upload genuine certificates, keep their availability accurate, and maintain an active listing subscription. Fraudulent credentials lead to removal without refund.
6. Advertising
Adverts are published automatically once M-Pesa payment is confirmed and run for the number of days purchased. Advert fees are non-refundable once live. We may remove adverts that are unlawful, misleading, adult, gambling-related or otherwise unsuitable for a youth sports audience, without refund.
7. Acceptable use
No harassment, no off-platform payment solicitation to avoid fees, no scraping, and no content that endangers minors.
8. Liability
Training carries physical risk. SportEd is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from a session booked through the platform. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous three months.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
